Fonn Group has taken full ownership of everviz and is bringing its charting and mapping technology forward under the name Teikna. Existing everviz services continue, while the new platform is aimed at broadcast, streaming and digital-media graphics.
Teikna retains a foundation in open web standards and APIs. Fonn plans close connections with Saga, its story-centric newsroom system, and Mimir, its cloud media collaboration and production platform. The combination could let structured story data, media and graphics move through one connected editorial workflow.
The technical opportunity is to reduce the split between web data visualisation and on-air graphics. Reusable charts and maps could be authored once, then adapted across newsroom, stream and digital outputs. A technology preview is being shown at IBC rather than a finished commercial release.
Fonn has not yet detailed render engines, rundown protocols, output formats, timing, template governance or migration from existing everviz projects. Those open points are central to evaluating Teikna as a live broadcast graphics system rather than only a rebrand.
