Profuz Digital has expanded SubtitleNEXT's speech-to-text integration layer to support AssemblyAI, Deepgram, ElevenLabs and Whisper. The change gives localisation teams a wider choice of transcription engines inside the same timed-text environment instead of tying a workflow to one model provider.
The release also adds broader Teletext validation checks for broadcast delivery. SubtitleNEXT already covers subtitles and audio description, so the update connects newer AI-assisted transcription with legacy delivery formats that remain part of many broadcasters' compliance chains.
The technical value is operational choice: teams can select engines according to language, cost, latency or data-policy needs while keeping authoring and validation in one application. The announcement does not publish a version number, comparative accuracy data or a full list of Teletext rules, so production suitability still needs testing against each broadcaster's specification.
