Strada V2 is built around a simple proposition for distributed post-production: mount storage in another location as a virtual local drive. Editors can browse, preview and open media in existing creative applications without first copying an entire project into cloud storage.
The platform works with hard drives, RAID arrays, network-attached storage and card readers. Separate transfer and upload-link functions move files directly between devices, while sharing controls determine which material collaborators can access.
This model can reduce duplicate storage and the long ingest delay that often precedes remote editing. It also lets facilities keep source media on infrastructure they already control, although interactive performance still depends on the remote disk, connection and the access pattern of the editing application.
Strada's public material does not publish codec-specific throughput, cache behaviour, minimum upstream bandwidth, resilience under packet loss or a formal security architecture. Its claims of local-like performance should therefore be tested with the intended camera originals, NLE and geographic distance.
