Solveig Multimedia has added full Versatile Video Coding support to the Zond 265 bitstream analyser and an AI Highlight Detection Module to its HTML5 Cloud Video Editor. The company will demonstrate both updates at IBC2026.
Zond 265 can identify bitstream compliance issues and expose codec information frame by frame through visual overlays. VVC support is timely as engineering teams begin evaluating the newer codec for distribution, contribution and archive applications and need tools that show exactly how an encoded stream behaves.
The highlight module analyses sports footage and marks events such as goals and fouls for editors. Solveig says the system can process a 90-minute match in less than five minutes, creating a first-pass set of moments for review rather than asking an editor to scrub the complete programme.
The speed claim and event examples come from the vendor. Accuracy by sport, false positives, supported languages or metadata feeds and the compute configuration used for the five-minute result have not been published. Human editorial review remains necessary before detected moments are cut or distributed.
