Limecraft has announced version 2026.6 of its production platform, extending the connections between acquisition, production workspaces and distributed teams. The Limecraft mobile application can now send material directly into a production workspace, while users working across several productions can control which workspaces generate notifications.
The platform continues to automate steps between acquisition and delivery, including ingest, media preparation, transcription, metadata enrichment, review, approval and distribution. Limecraft presents these functions as workflow automation around editorial work rather than autonomous editorial decision-making.
At IBC2026, the company is also privately previewing an AI-assisted story-editing concept. Editors can describe the material they need in natural language and refine the result conversationally across a large recording set. The approach could reduce logging and search time when factual, reality or studio productions generate many hours of media. The feature is not part of the formal 2026.6 release and remains in private beta. Limecraft has not published model details, supported languages, retrieval accuracy, access criteria or a schedule for general availability.
