Interra Systems will present new releases of Orion, Baton 9.5 M1, Baton Captions and Vega at IBC2026. The company is applying AI to QC, monitoring, captioning and localisation while emphasising explainable operational results.
Orion expands continuous visibility into 4K, IP and production workflows. Baton 9.5 M1 adds updated audio and video quality checks. Baton Captions includes the Maestro assistant plus automated summaries and scene tags for content such as profanity or violence. Vega adds AV1 and VVC support, faster multicore analysis, broader cloud compatibility and updated diagnostics.
Technical significance
Codec and delivery diversity is making manual fault isolation slower. A shared QC strategy across files, live streams and captions can shorten diagnosis, but AI-generated tags and recommendations must be distinguishable from deterministic compliance checks and must expose enough evidence for an operator to challenge them.
What to watch
The preview does not give false-positive rates, benchmark content or release dates for every component. Users should validate test coverage, confidence reporting, language support, AV1 and VVC profile depth, cloud cost and whether chatbot actions are read-only or can alter QC and delivery workflows.
