Imagine Communications has detailed a three-part AI strategy for IBC2026: embedded machine learning for immediate tasks, Model Context Protocol interfaces for governed access and a longer-term path toward operational agents. The company is applying the approach across advertising and video infrastructure.
Demonstrations include a Landmark Sales assistant, AI-assisted scheduling, Magellan Control System MCP, conversational multichannel playout and monitoring dashboards fed through governed MCP services. Imagine says core systems of record remain protected behind the interaction layer.
Why it matters
Natural-language control can make complex systems faster to navigate, but broadcast operations cannot accept an unconstrained agent changing routes or schedules. A governed interface with auditable actions is therefore more important than the chat front end itself.
What still needs checking
The release mixes working demonstrations with longer-term development. Customers need precise details about permissions, confirmation steps, logging, model hosting and which actions are currently supported.
