Haivision has released its 2026 Broadcast Transformation Report based on responses from more than 1,300 broadcast professionals. Remote production is identified as the leading operational priority by 41 percent of respondents.
SRT is used by 78 percent of respondents, while cellular contribution reaches 54 percent. Looking ahead, 64 percent expect AI to have an important future impact. SDI remains widely used at 82 percent, while ST 2110 adoption is reported at 30 percent.
Why it matters
The results show that transition is additive rather than a clean replacement cycle. Broadcasters are combining SDI, managed IP, public internet and cellular tools, which raises the importance of common monitoring and operational training.
What still needs checking
This is a vendor-sponsored, self-selected survey rather than a census of the industry. Percentages describe the respondent group and should not be treated as measured global market share.
