Eddie AI has released version 4 of its assisted-editing platform with a new Avid Media Composer extension and direct handoff to Adobe Premiere Productions and Blackmagic Cloud. Existing Premiere, Resolve and FCPXML exports remain, reconnecting finished project structures to original camera files rather than proxies.
For multicamera work, the software can synchronise sources by audio or timecode, select sound-recorder audio instead of camera scratch tracks and label angles using faces and names. Angle decisions made in Eddie are retained when the edit moves into a conventional NLE.
Version 4 also adds C2PA content-credential signing, private-cloud and on-premises deployment, shared workspaces and enterprise SSO. Generative options cover music, voiceover, dubbing and b-roll, while an experimental nine-billion-parameter editing model is being trained for local operation but does not yet power live edits.
The integration list is documented, but editorial quality, provenance coverage and model behaviour require independent evaluation. C2PA can record process history but does not by itself verify that generated material is accurate, and facilities will need clear policy for disclosure, rights and approval.
