Jünger Audio and a group of technology partners are demonstrating what they describe as the first fully cloud-based, DTV+-compliant end-to-end workflow at SET Expo 2026 in São Paulo.
The chain carries MPEG-H Audio into the cloud and includes metadata authoring, rendering, monitoring, encoding and distribution. Jünger’s flexAI is used to define downstream metadata and to render and monitor object-based output. AWS, Fraunhofer IIS, MainConcept, MediaKind and Techex are among the named participants.
Why it matters
Next-generation audio is operationally difficult because the programme is no longer only a fixed channel mix. Objects and metadata must survive each handoff, and operators need a trustworthy way to audition the final viewer experience.
A working multi-vendor chain is more useful than an isolated feature demonstration. It tests whether metadata, timing and monitoring remain coherent across organisational boundaries. Broadcasters evaluating DTV+ should still separate a trade-show proof from a production design and ask how redundancy, observability and failure recovery are handled.
