Al Arabiya Jordan has aired what TVU Networks describes as the Middle East’s first fully digital news bulletin produced across its cloud-native workflow. MEBS implemented the system for the broadcaster.
TVU RPS One connects studio cameras, microphones and local systems. TVU Producer handles switching, audio, graphics and collaboration; browser guests join through Partyline; and TVU Channel provides output and distribution. A cloud Mini Smart MCR aggregates field and external feeds and can operate as a disaster-recovery environment.
Technical significance
News is a demanding cloud-production case because the chain must remain responsive through last-minute changes, variable guests and continuous contribution. A single cloud ecosystem can reduce hardware layers and simplify remote operation, but it also makes identity, network resilience and platform-level failure planning central newsroom engineering concerns.
What to watch
The announcement does not describe the number of bulletins, duration of operation, on-premises fallback or measured delay between studio control and output. Independent operational evidence is needed before treating the deployment as a general model for continuous news production.
