Timeline Television has developed RoutePilot One as a compact alternative to assembling separate production, engineering and communications systems for each live programme. The platform can operate onsite, as a remote-production system or as an automated broadcast centre.
Dedicated Blackmagic ATEM vision infrastructure and Yamaha audio hardware handle real-time media, while Timeline's central software orchestrates the workflow. Built-in rundown automation can trigger vision-mixer actions, VT, replay, graphics, music, audio and routing, with manual and semi-automated modes retained for editorial control.
RoutePilot also includes party lines, four-wire interfaces, IFB, Stream Deck panels and phone-based talkback. Standard configurations provide 40 inputs in 2RU, while an expanded 4RU model supports up to 80. Eight matching systems were used for sports presentation at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, giving the product a deployment reference rather than only a trade-show demonstration.
The model matters for productions that need broadcast controls without a full OB truck and specialist crew for every subsystem. Timeline has not published independent resilience testing or fixed cost savings, and the current route to market is primarily a managed service, so operational comparisons will depend on each production.
