Dejero has detailed the connectivity design for the first full livestream of Targa Newfoundland, a multi-day tarmac rally running across coastal roads. The production links the Canadian event to viewers and to demonstrations on partner stands at IBC2026 in Amsterdam.
At the centre is Dejero TITAN, which blends cellular and low-Earth-orbit satellite paths over private 5G infrastructure. BLiNQ Networks supplies private 5G fronthaul, Network Innovations integrates the connectivity, and a wider partner group handles capture, cloud production, graphics and distribution.
The same network also carries safety communications between race control and emergency vehicles on road sections without conventional mobile coverage. That dual use raises the operational stakes: broadcast traffic and critical communications have to coexist across rapidly changing radio and satellite conditions.
The project is technically relevant because it tests a complete contribution chain in difficult terrain rather than a controlled venue. The workflow has been announced before the rally has taken place, so sustained throughput, handover behaviour, end-to-end latency and service continuity remain to be demonstrated during the live event.
