Panasonic Connect Europe has expanded both the control and camera-alignment sides of its live-production portfolio. Two new KAIROS panels provide 12 buses with either 40 or 30 crosspoints, giving operators additional physical control options for large and complex productions.
The accompanying Image Adjust Pro work targets colour consistency across multi-camera setups. A reference-camera workflow analyzes the desired look and applies adjustments to compatible Panasonic cameras. The reference can come from Panasonic or another manufacturer, while automatic correction is limited to supported Panasonic models.
That division is operationally important: a mixed camera can define the target image, but the software only writes changes to devices it knows how to control. In facilities with many PTZ and studio cameras, automated baseline matching could reduce repetitive setup while leaving final creative shading with the production team.
Panasonic has announced the panels and planned software functions, but notes that some features remain in development and specifications or release dates can change. The source does not quantify matching accuracy, convergence time, supported camera list by firmware or the commercial packaging of the new control surfaces.
