Norsk is introducing three packaged products built on its Studio live-video platform. Playout, Remote Commentary and Probe will make their debut at IBC2026 as off-the-shelf services that can still be extended through the underlying platform.
Norsk Playout schedules and delivers live and file-based content for linear, event, FAST, AVOD, SVOD and enterprise channels. Remote Commentary carries commentator video and audio from distributed locations. Probe replaces selected hardware monitoring functions with a software service. Norsk is also offering custom turnkey workflow engineering.
Technical significance
A common platform for playout, contribution and monitoring can reduce integration boundaries and make temporary services easier to deploy. The trade-off is platform coupling: operators need clear resource isolation, monitoring independence and failure domains so a shared software layer does not make unrelated services fail together.
What to watch
The preview does not specify formats, channel density, latency, redundancy or pricing. Production teams should confirm supported protocols, commentary return paths, probe measurement depth, orchestration APIs, deployment targets and how each product continues operating if the shared control layer becomes unavailable.
