Motorized Precision has introduced EVA at IBC 2026, a compact six-axis motion-control robot designed for smartphones, action cameras and mirrorless rigs. The system weighs 24.3 lb, or about 11 kg, and supports complete camera packages up to 4.4 lb, or 2 kg.
EVA has a 19.7-inch, or 500 mm, reach and a stated repeatability of ±0.05 mm. It can mount to a table or tripod, run from a standard wall outlet and operate as a standalone robot or alongside larger Motorized Precision systems in synchronised workflows.
The system is controlled through MP Studio, with the base package including the controller, mounting adapters, required cables and one year of MP Studio Lite. Motorized Precision also supports a gripper in place of the camera, extending programmed moves into product handling for tabletop and commercial shoots.
The listed price is $7,499 before camera, lens, computer and support. The company has not published maximum move speed, payload-versus-reach curves, safety-zone options or independent repeatability tests. Those details will matter for live studios and unattended operation beyond controlled product work.
