Matrox used IBC2026 to demonstrate Monarch Edge in a live remote-production workflow spanning Newfoundland, Toronto and Amsterdam. SDI camera feeds originated at a motorsport event in Newfoundland and were encoded for contribution to a production team in Toronto.
The first leg used encrypted SRT over Dejero bonded 5G because fixed connectivity at the venue was limited. Toronto produced the programme, which was then sent over Matrox’s global SRT network to the IBC show floor.
The chain is significant because it combines broadcast baseband, managed cellular contribution and internet transport without placing the full production crew at the event. It also exposes the practical boundary between access bonding and the wider contribution network.
The report does not publish end-to-end latency, redundancy behaviour, bitrate or recovery data. Broadcasters should evaluate those measurements, plus audio synchronisation and talkback, before treating a show-floor demonstration as proof for a specific production.
