LiveU has reported its largest deployment to date around the 2026 world football championship. The operation supported 104 matches across 16 stadiums in three countries with approximately 1,700 field units in use.
LiveU counts more than 31,000 live transmissions, 17,000 live hours and 695TB of transferred material for customers from 45 countries. The scale includes cloud services and LiveU IQ-managed contribution paths alongside mobile encoders.
Why it matters
Large global events expose congestion, roaming, support and coordination problems that do not appear in smaller trials. The figures show bonded IP contribution operating as mainstream event infrastructure rather than only an occasional backup path.
What still needs checking
The metrics are vendor-reported and aggregate many customers and workflows. They do not disclose failure rates, average latency, link mix, comparative cost or how much traffic used each LiveU service.
