LiveU and Panasonic LUMIX have announced a joint Live Anywhere workflow that connects LUMIX camera systems directly with LiveU contribution devices. The demonstration uses LUMIX S1II cameras and the UB control box with LiveU Solo PRO and LU800 units.
The companies are presenting the combination as a compact path from camera control and acquisition to bonded IP transmission. It is intended for productions that need to move quickly without a conventional truck and dedicated connectivity at every location.
Why it matters
Closer camera-to-transmitter integration can reduce cabling and setup work for small crews. It also matters for consistent metadata and remote control when a camera is far from the main production team.
What still needs checking
The announcement is centred on demonstrations. Supported control functions, latency, power requirements and production availability should be verified for each camera and transmitter combination.
