Game Creek Video has ordered ten fully configured Grass Valley K-Frame production switchers for deployment across its mobile units over a two-year period. The purchase extends a long-running relationship between the production company and Grass Valley in high-end live switching.
The announced systems use Kayenne 4 M/E control surfaces and can expose nine mix/effects banks, with a 192x96 IP configuration. That scale is aimed at productions with large camera counts, multiple program versions and complex keying requirements.
Why it matters
Truck investments remain a useful indicator of what major rights holders expect from live production. The order suggests that dedicated tactile control and substantial local processing still matter even as more surrounding functions move into software and remote environments.
