FOR-A, CuePilot and ClassX have connected pre-production planning with live switching and graphics control. In the workflow, a CuePilot timeline sends real-time commands to the ClassX-powered MixBoard software switcher and LiveBoard graphics engine.
CuePilot can hold camera positions, moves, lighting changes, audio cues and production documents. Advancing the timeline can recall scenes and layouts, activate graphics and trigger media playback, while camera operators and the wider team follow cues through CueApp on mobile devices.
Why it matters
Live automation is most useful when it begins with the editorial plan rather than a second technical script that must be rebuilt after rehearsals. Linking the same timeline to switching and graphics can reduce duplicate programming and make repeatable entertainment or event formats easier to rehearse.
The companies describe a demonstration, not a shipping specification. Production teams will need to assess timing tolerance, override behaviour, failure recovery, revision control and how the system handles unscripted changes before relying on it on air.
