Falcon Play has completed what We Are Falcon describes as its first major live production, supporting TV 2 Echo's coverage from the Danish Parliament during the 2026 parliamentary election. The system was used across a 7.5-hour YouTube stream in a production that needed to balance a planned rundown with the flexibility of a fast-moving news event.
According to the company, a single computer running Falcon Play was connected directly to a 20-channel Blackmagic ATEM vision mixer. One director and one sound operator formed the core gallery team. From the Falcon interface they handled video playback, graphics playback, rundown execution and direct mixer control, including keyboard operation for both Falcon Play and the switcher.
The camera setup included four studio cameras, one of them wireless. Four mobile phones were also used to capture interviews and other material around Parliament. We Are Falcon says those recordings could be returned to Falcon Play and made ready for transmission within seconds, giving the programme a rapid path from field capture to live playout.
Transmission was delivered through LiveU, with a Blackmagic Web Presenter configured as the backup. The combination shows how Falcon Play is intended to connect editorial order, media handling and technical switching without requiring a separate interface for every stage. The detailed rundown remained available for most of the programme, while the production could still depart from it when election developments demanded improvisation.
A vendor account is not an independent technical review, but a sustained election broadcast is a meaningful operational milestone for a young automation platform. It tested long-form uptime, mixed media sources, direct switcher control and rapid field contribution in the same production. We Are Falcon says the result was stable and flexible throughout the stream.
