We Are Falcon has outlined a substantial Falcon Play feature update ahead of wider beta testing. The work concentrates on bringing rundown control, live production tools, automation and technical operation into a more unified browser-controlled environment.

A dedicated Falcon Audio Mixer is one of the headline additions. The interface uses large, touch-friendly faders, clear status feedback and quick access to programme, voice-over and mute functions. Falcon Play can also combine faders from multiple physical or software mixers into a single web mixer, giving an operator one control surface across a more complex audio setup.

On the vision side, We Are Falcon has added stronger protection around DVE, macro and keyer operations. The purpose is to reduce the risk of changing a keyer or macro unintentionally while a DVE is already on air. That kind of protection addresses the small but consequential operator errors that can happen when several automated and manual actions share the same mixer state.

The release also introduces an LTC-based timeline and editor workflow. External or internally generated linear timecode can be connected to rundown automation, while a layered timeline gives the team a visual view of clips, timing and scheduled actions. This is aimed at shows where execution must follow a fixed timebase but still remain visible and adjustable to the production team.

Companion integration rounds out the announced package. Falcon Play can be added as a connection in Bitfocus Companion, allowing established button panels and control surfaces to trigger or monitor Falcon functions. Together, the features point toward a system intended to sit at the centre of a small or mid-sized control room rather than operating only as a standalone playout application.
