Riedel Communications supplied signal transport and communications infrastructure for the Esports World Cup production in Paris. The event operated eight stages, supported 35 languages and handled more than 300 camera sources.
The intercom system used five Artist-1024 frames, 341 Bolero wireless packs, 79 antennas and 330 SmartPanels, with seven RF scanner antennas supporting spectrum management. A temporary MediorNet network used 140 MicroN UHD nodes, which Riedel describes as its largest such deployment.
Six ARRI cameras covered the main stage alongside specialist camera systems. At this scale, signal routing and crew communications have to be engineered as one service: changes on a stage affect contribution, monitoring, commentary and coordination across several language operations.
The source is a supplier account and does not publish total bandwidth, redundancy maps, latency measurements or incident data. It also overlaps the same event covered by separate camera-vendor reporting, but this story concerns the distinct transport and intercom layer rather than acquisition alone.
