CNN Creators is opening a permanent production hub at Media City Qatar in Doha. The open-plan facility combines a studio, newsroom and production centre in one visible environment after the programme’s first year in a temporary space.
Multiple remotely operated cameras hang from ceiling tracks, creating a moving 360-degree view of the work area. The design lets conversations and editorial activity become part of the programme rather than hiding the newsroom behind a conventional fixed set.
The control room supports both vertical and horizontal output for social live streams and linear television. That dual-format path is central to CNN Creators, whose reporting is distributed across CNN International, digital products and social platforms.
CNN has not published camera, tracking, audio, switching or redundancy specifications. The practical test will be whether one production layer can preserve composition, graphics safe areas, sound coverage and editorial pace across both orientations.
