Autoscript has introduced Voice Controller for WinPlus-IP, a prompting option that advances or adjusts the script according to the presenter's speech. The product shares technology with the company's automated Autoscript Voice system.
Because the controller operates wherever the relevant audio is routed, it can be added to existing studio workflows without requiring a presenter to use a hand or foot control. That is intended to make delivery more natural and reduce a separate operational task on air.
The technical significance is integration rather than speech recognition alone. Tying the prompt directly to routed production audio could fit automated studios and allow a presenter to retain pacing control while other gallery functions are being consolidated.
Autoscript has not published supported languages, processing latency, behaviour with ad-libbing, multiple speakers or noisy return audio, or the fallback process after a recognition error. These are central broadcast-continuity questions and should be tested with representative scripts and presenters.
