Blackmagic Design has released Camera 10.3 for URSA Cine 12K LF, adding SMPTE ST 2110 live output through the camera’s 10Gb Ethernet connector. The mode supports video up to 2160p60 and is intended to place the large-format cinema sensor directly inside an IP live-production plant.
The update adds a DaVinci Resolve-derived primary colour corrector for live shading. Traditional iris, black-level and RGB tint controls are available from an ATEM Camera Control Panel, while Resolve hardware panels can address lift, gamma and gain across luminance and colour channels.
Dual output LUT processors and a separate ST 2110 LUT operate after the colour corrector in DaVinci Wide Gamut. The release also supports a B4 mount and adapter cable, a seven-inch studio viewfinder, four-channel audio, REST control, lens control and SDI camera-control input.
A pre-record function can retain up to ten minutes before the record command, supporting unscripted events and news. The announcement does not detail NMOS discovery, PTP redundancy, network profiles, packet-loss behaviour, latency or interoperability results, so ST 2110 integration still needs plant-level testing.
