Driftwood Productions has released RockDaBoat and Moving Shadows as OFX plugins for DaVinci Resolve. Both effects were developed from practical shot requirements and run inside the edit and grade environment rather than requiring separate compositing renders.

RockDaBoat creates adjustable motion intended to make a static or controlled shot feel as if the camera and subject are moving on water. Editors can tune the movement instead of relying on a fixed preset, making the effect easier to match across cuts.

Moving Shadows generates animated shadow patterns designed to sit within the image rather than appearing as a simple overlay. The approach gives editors a timeline-level way to suggest moving foliage, window light or other environmental changes when reshooting is impractical.

The release confirms product availability but provides no measured GPU requirements, supported Resolve versions, colour-management tests or controls for motion blur and edge interaction. The effects are creative simulations, so convincing results still depend on source lighting, perspective and restrained use.
