Host broadcaster Saran Group used Movicom specialist-camera teams across three venues and five sports at the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Taranto. More than 20 technicians supported swimming, finswimming, water polo, athletics and artistic gymnastics alongside the conventional camera plan.
Swimming used an AGITO mobile platform and two underwater remote heads. Water polo added two underwater in-goal cameras and another submerged head, exposing action and goalkeeper movement that poolside cameras cannot show clearly.
Athletics combined two polecams, a railcam, two PICO super-slow-motion cameras and a drone. Gymnastics used two RobyTower systems, three remote heads and a polecam, prioritising controlled movement and unobtrusive positions around the apparatus.
The deployment demonstrates that multisport coverage benefits from an editorially specific camera plan rather than one repeated equipment package. The report does not disclose signal transport, synchronisation, replay integration, camera formats, safety incidents or measured setup time, leaving the engineering cost of that flexibility open.
