Sacramento Production Services has installed a ten-antenna Wisycom RF system at Sutter Health Park, temporary home of the Athletics baseball team. The upgrade responds to denser spectrum use and the more demanding wireless-audio requirements that arrived with Major League Baseball broadcasts.
Four antennas reach the outfield through BFL-T2 and BFL-R2 fibre links. Six more are arranged in three pairs across the home-side stands, roof and concourse, using MAT244 combiners with LFA wideband and ADFA active directional antennas.
The fibre extension covers positions about 460 feet from the nearest previous antenna. Networked management lets engineers adjust antenna filtering and inspect the system remotely instead of walking several minutes to remote positions, while narrower bandwidth can lower the received noise floor.
The venue and supplier report fewer dropouts and more predictable operation, but no spectrum plots, before-and-after failure rate, measured coverage map or redundancy plan is published. The result is a useful installation case rather than an independent proof of performance under every event load.
