Solid State Logic will demonstrate Live platform version 6.2 on an L350 Plus at AES Nashville. The update adds SolidPitch vocal tuning directly to the console and integrates KLANG control so immersive monitor mixes can be created and adjusted from the SSL surface.
For live engineers, keeping pitch processing and immersive monitoring inside the main control environment can reduce separate interfaces and preserve show-state recall. SSL also cites new processing, integration and workflow functions, although the announcement does not enumerate the full release-note set.
AES will also mark the first public appearance of Odyssey, SSL’s flagship Future Analogue console. It combines new microphone preamps and processing with Instant Recall, allowing engineers to restore, compare and refine analogue sessions more quickly across tracking, overdubbing and mixing.
The announcement is a product preview, not an operational evaluation. SSL has not published Live 6.2 latency, supported KLANG configurations, licensing, release timing or Odyssey channel and automation specifications. Those details will be needed before either workflow can be assessed for broadcast or touring deployment.
