Sobatech Group has moved production of Spanish F4 and Eurocup-3 into a remote workflow centred on its Banyoles facility. Eight staff work at the remote production centre, while 14 camera operators, one technician and a producer remain at the circuit.
Camera feeds are encoded in H.265 and carried through Haivision SST links bonded across multiple 4G and 5G carriers plus Starlink. The reported end-to-end latency is about 1.5 seconds, with automatic failover intended to protect the contribution path when one network deteriorates.
The camera plan uses Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 units and an ATEM 4 M/E switcher. Graphics are rendered on site but controlled from Madrid, and a Videohub routes clean and dirty programme outputs for rights holders including DAZN.
The arrangement separates the people who must be trackside from the switching and production roles that can remain centralised. The report does not provide measured packet loss, failover interruption, bandwidth reserve or the performance of Starlink under crowded-event conditions, so those remain operational dependencies.
