SkyLark has expanded its browser interface with media-processing, external-storage and recording functions. Users can stage material from FTP, S3, Panasonic P2, Avid Interplay and local sources, then manage jobs through a persistent Media Processing Queue.
A browser-based Transcode Wizard exposes profile and destination choices, while per-user staging areas keep temporary selections separated. The same web environment now includes Recording Channels and Timeline controls for operational tasks that previously required a dedicated client or direct server access.
Putting these functions in a browser can simplify access across newsroom, ingest and playout teams and reduce the number of locally maintained utilities. The persistent queue is particularly relevant when transfers and conversions must survive a user leaving the page or changing workstations.
SkyLark does not publish supported codecs and wrappers for every source, queue throughput, retry behaviour, identity integration, browser matrix or performance under concurrent operation. Customers will still need to validate storage credentials and network boundaries around the web interface.
