Brazilian broadcaster SBT has expanded its Pebble Automation environment to originate the 24-hour SBT News channel and support a wider delivery-modernisation programme. The platform was already the foundation for the network's national channel automation.
Pebble controls graphics, servers, redundant routing and master-control switching while integrating with SBT's traffic, scheduling and advertising systems. Its media-management layer moves, prepares, validates and approves content before transmission, and the architecture provides redundancy for national services.
Authorised operators can use Pebble Remote for web-based monitoring and control, including high-resolution content previews that do not consume critical transmission resources. SBT says the design prepares it for TV 2.5 functions, greater interactivity and dynamic ad insertion.
The first platform stage went live at the end of 2025, so this is an expansion case rather than a same-day greenfield launch. The source does not publish channel count, failover results, recovery objectives or the timetable for later interactive services.
