Providius has integrated Nevion eMerge IP media switches with its Network Visualization and Real-Time Telemetry platform. Live switch data can now appear beside service information from Nevion VideoIPath, which already orchestrates the eMerge fabric for professional media networks.
The joined view is intended to show the route taken by an active service, validate that path against the expected design and expose unexpected routing. VideoIPath flow labels let engineers investigate named production services instead of translating only IP addresses during an incident.
NVRT also receives PTP status, bandwidth utilisation, port activity, interface errors and other switch indicators. For live production, correlating timing, capacity and route information can reduce the gap between a programme symptom and the network condition behind it.
The announcement confirms native integration but gives no supported software versions, polling intervals, alarm thresholds or measured fault-isolation improvement. Facilities will still need to test scale, security permissions and behaviour during controller, telemetry or network failure before relying on the combined view operationally.
