PROLANE Media has delivered a digital archive for the UAE Pro League with a stated capacity of 2.5PB. The project uses axle.ai for media-asset management and machine-generated metadata intended to improve search across a growing collection of sports material.
GBLabs network storage provides the online tier, while Symply LTO-10 systems and Archiware P5 handle longer-term preservation and movement between tiers. The design aims to keep active material accessible without retaining the complete archive on higher-cost disk.
For league media teams, searchable metadata can shorten the path from historic match footage to clips, features and rights deliveries. Tape remains part of the system because capacity, offline protection and lifecycle cost differ from production storage, while the design leaves room for future cloud tiers.
