Romanian broadcaster Pro TV is constructing a new outside-broadcast van around Sony live-production equipment. The vehicle is designed for up to 20 UHD system cameras from the HDC family, paired with 20 HDCU-3500 camera-control units.
HDRC-4000 conversion supports productions that must deliver HDR and SDR within the same event. Two CNA-2 units provide networked system control, while an MLS-X1 switcher supplies a scalable video-processing and switching core.
Monitoring uses Sony PVM-X and LMD displays. Pro TV is carrying out the system integration internally, preserving engineering knowledge that can be useful when the vehicle must be modified or diagnosed away from a vendor workshop.
The truck is expected to enter service later in 2026. The report does not give the final routing standard, IP and baseband split, audio architecture, replay platform, power design or acceptance-test criteria, so the complete production capability remains to be documented. Commissioning will need to prove simultaneous UHD, HDR and SDR paths under full load.
