PODCAST EXPO 2026 used two parallel Blackmagic Design systems to record 24 conference sessions over two days. Each stage had an ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 live-production switcher, a HyperDeck Studio HD Plus recorder and a three-camera package assembled from Cinema Camera, Pocket Cinema Camera and Studio Camera models.
SmartView 4K and Video Assist 12G HDR displays supported monitoring. The workflow was designed to finish as much post-production work as possible at the venue so approximately 24 hours of recorded material could be published quickly instead of entering a long edit queue after the event.
ISO recording is central to that goal: the live cut provides a fast starting point while isolated camera recordings preserve the ability to repair switches or create alternate versions. Duplicating the chain for two rooms also contains failures and scheduling changes within each stage.
The vendor case study confirms the main hardware and operational objective, but it does not state recording codecs, storage capacity, synchronisation between systems, crew size, turnaround achieved or backup strategy. It also does not quantify how much editorial work was actually eliminated on site.
