Orange Belgium has renewed its multi-year relationship with Viaccess-Orca for television playback, content protection and device monitoring. The deployment includes VO Secure Video Player, Multi-DRM, conditional-access technology and QoX quality-of-experience monitoring.
The same supplier stack supports consumer television and business services delivered into hotels, hospitals and other organisations where service continuity and predictable device behaviour are particularly important. Orange Belgium has worked with Viaccess-Orca since 2014, so the renewal preserves an established security and playback layer rather than replacing it during service growth.
The technical interest is the breadth of the operating loop. Conditional access and DRM decide whether content may play, the secured player enforces playback, and QoX observes performance at the endpoint. Keeping those signals connected can help operations distinguish entitlement failures, player faults and delivery-quality problems.
The announcement confirms the product families and contract extension but does not disclose subscriber or device counts, supported platforms, monitoring granularity, security-audit results, service levels or migration work.
