SkyLark has expanded the NewsCut editor with stereo balance, a full output-routing matrix and meters that show the processed result. The update also adds a tube-style compressor, parametric equalizer and ten-band equalizer inside the newsroom editing environment.

Effect settings remain active during preview, playout and export, reducing the risk that a correction heard in the edit disappears from the delivered item. The routing matrix allows tracks and programme outputs to be assigned explicitly rather than relying only on a fixed stereo mix.

For fast-turnaround news, integrated processing can handle common speech-level, tonal and channel-balance corrections without an audio round trip. It also makes the final routing visible to the journalist or editor before the story reaches automation.

The release does not describe loudness targets, true-peak limiting, automation support, plugin formats, channel-count limits or interoperability with external mixers. No performance or listening tests are published, so the new tools should not be assumed to replace specialist finishing for complex material.
