BBC Studioworks has delivered a dedicated National Lottery production facility at BBC Television Centre for operator Allwyn UK. The studio is built to handle live draws six nights a week, with several game formats sharing one compact physical footprint.
An INFiLED LED backdrop provides the main visual environment and can be re-themed digitally between draw formats. That reduces physical set changes and gives production a consistent lighting and camera geometry. The project also had to address scan and sensor artefacts because the display is photographed live rather than used only as an audience screen.
The technical importance lies in repeatability. Regulated live draws require a set that can change appearance quickly without introducing uncertain rigging, alignment or playback steps. A permanent LED surface moves more of that variation into controlled content and processing while preserving a familiar studio signal path.
The published case study confirms the operating frequency, location and display-led design, but it does not disclose pixel pitch, processing chain, camera shutter settings, redundancy, colour-calibration targets or failover procedures. Performance claims come from the project suppliers, and no independent uptime data is available.
