MultiDyne is using CABSAT 2026 to introduce redesigned hardware for its VersaFrame VF-9100 optical transport platform. The new frame is described as providing greater processing capacity while retaining the modular approach used to move broadcast signals over fibre.
The most consequential addition is a native REST API covering monitoring, configuration and diagnostics. That gives facility-management and orchestration software a documented machine interface instead of depending only on a vendor panel or manual configuration workflow.
For remote production hubs and distributed facilities, API access can place link state, alarms and provisioning into the same operational layer as routing and contribution resources. It may also make repeatable deployment templates and proactive checks easier to build.
The preview does not specify API authentication, rate limits, telemetry granularity, module compatibility, total throughput or migration steps for existing frames. CABSAT demonstrations will show the direction, but real interoperability and management behaviour still need validation in a deployed system.
