Globecast has expanded its orchestration strategy with MooM, a cloud-native platform for managing media workflows end to end. The control layer covers remote production, playout, media asset management, preparation, headend services and OTT distribution.
MooM is designed to operate across Amazon Web Services, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and private-cloud environments. That multi-cloud scope lets a broadcaster place workloads according to geography, service availability or existing contracts while retaining a common management surface.
The platform builds on Globecast’s Content Exchange transport capabilities and adds financial-operations and AI-assisted operational functions. The technical proposition is an orchestration layer that follows content through several service domains rather than stopping at contribution handoff.
The announcement does not specify supported third-party interfaces, scheduling semantics, failover time, audit retention or which AI actions can execute without operator approval. Those controls are critical when one layer can influence several live-service stages. Broadcasters will also need a clear degraded mode when a cloud control service becomes unavailable.
