Canadian outside-broadcast company Mesh Broadcast Services has installed a 36-fader Calrec Argo M console in the audio room of its Eclipse flagship truck. The 40-foot unit supports between ten and 12 live sports and entertainment broadcasts in a typical month.

The truck already used a Dante backbone to avoid a large analogue patch field. Argo M adds MADI and modular I/O options alongside that network, while three Calrec Type R analogue I/O boxes are housed in flight cases for portable use around the field of play.

The console first worked during a six-week Vancouver FIFA Fan Festival contract. For a small audio room, the relevant design choice is not only the surface footprint but the ability to connect legacy, networked and field signals without rebuilding the truck for each sport or streaming event.

The supplier account does not publish the DSP allocation used, redundancy design, network topology, channel counts per production or measured setup time. It also provides no independent comparison with the previous console, so the claimed increase in capability remains operational testimony rather than a benchmark.
