Host Broadcast Services used TVU Networks infrastructure to deliver its Match Buddy service across a football tournament involving 48 teams, 104 matches, 16 venues and three countries over 39 days. Sixteen match directors worked across the event.
Match Buddy combines multiple live feeds with real-time match data in a configurable mosaic. Five media partners used the service simultaneously, selecting the combination of pictures and information needed for their own editorial and operational roles.
The platform ran on a redundant cloud architecture with automatic failover. HBS says recovery did not require producer intervention, an important distinction for a monitoring tool that must remain available while production teams are occupied with live matches.
The project shows how a shared cloud layer can create partner-specific views without producing a separate fixed multiview feed for every user. The report does not state switching time, geographic redundancy, stream latency or the service-level target, so the resilience claim cannot yet be benchmarked independently.
