LYNX Technik has introduced the PVD 5440 DO for its Series 5000 modular system. The card combines 12G-SDI frame synchronization with up, down and cross conversion, including motion-adaptive deinterlacing for mixed-format facilities.
Its audio section provides a 136-by-200 crossbar. The card can handle up to 64 channels from SDI and MADI plus four AES inputs and four AES outputs, allowing embedded and external audio to be shuffled alongside the video conversion.
One input can feed four outputs, and fibre options are available for longer connections. Control and monitoring run through the LynxCentraal environment, keeping the processor inside the same management layer as other Series 5000 modules.
The announcement does not provide conversion latency, supported HDR metadata behaviour, redundancy details, audio sample-rate conversion limits or complete pricing. Facilities should verify the exact option set and timing performance for UHD and interlaced paths.
