Teleste has announced a receiver module for Luminato 4X4 that accepts live MPEG-DASH streams and converts them for local IPTV or cable distribution. The module supports Widevine decryption and is scheduled for availability in the fourth quarter of 2026.

A received service can be output as an MPEG transport stream over IP multicast or as QAM, with both paths operating simultaneously. The QAM module supports up to 32 carriers and covers DVB-C and ITU-T J.83 Annex B. A 4X4 chassis holds as many as six hot-swappable modules and dual power supplies.

The design lets an operator deliver the same adaptive streams used for direct-to-consumer applications into hotels, hospitals, care facilities or apartment buildings that still depend on managed channel line-ups. It avoids requiring every television to become an OTT client and can reach sites over ordinary broadband beyond the operator’s own access network.

The published specification confirms the conversion path but not maximum services, supported DASH profiles, DRM licensing workflow, latency, failover between broadband paths, monitoring depth or pricing. Compatibility with existing chassis also depends on the installed module and software combination.
