Hollywood River Studios has broken ground on a production campus in St. Louis, Missouri. The first phase calls for six modular sound stages covering about 144,000 square feet on a 110-acre site.

Each stage is planned at roughly 130 by 160 feet with a 42-foot clear height and no internal columns. The construction system uses foldable steel trusses, with the initial stages targeted for completion in approximately 12 months.

The wider campus plan includes offices, storage, production base-camp space and an esports facility. A modular stage design can create repeatable infrastructure for power, networking, rigging and acoustic treatment, but those supporting systems determine whether the spaces operate as a coherent production campus rather than six large buildings.

The announcement describes dimensions and the development concept, not the finished technical fit-out. Power capacity, acoustic performance, connectivity, climate control, virtual-production provision and booking dates are not yet detailed. Those open items are important for productions assessing practical readiness.
