GlobalM supported Quattro Media and World Rowing with international distribution of the 2026 World Rowing Championships. The event involved 830 athletes from 64 nations across 23 boat classes, producing a world feed for rights holders and digital services.
The GMX Cloud platform scheduled routes and automatically built connections between contribution sources, GlobalM points of presence near takers and receiving endpoints. The same contribution feeds could also be directed to World Rowing's digital services.
GlobalM says configurations can be retained across events, including endpoint details, permissions, SRT parameters and routing templates. Reusing that operational data can reduce repetitive setup and make rights-holder onboarding more predictable, provided expired credentials and destination changes are handled carefully.
The source does not disclose the number of takers, stream bitrates, protection model, measured availability or failover results. It confirms the workflow and event, but not enough performance data to compare the service with satellite or dedicated-fibre distribution.
