Amerant Bank Arena, home of the Florida Panthers, has replaced broadcast cabling that in part dated to the building’s original infrastructure. The upgrade moves the venue from a heavily coax-based plant toward a fibre-forward backbone.
The installation uses Remee ClearCast three-channel hybrid SMPTE cable, 22AWG 12-pair audio cable and REMFO 33-series fibre. Hybrid camera cabling can carry optical signals, power and control together, while the separate fibre plant provides capacity for additional high-bandwidth production and venue services.
Permanent cabling is a long-life decision compared with cameras and processing equipment. Installing fibre and standardized camera paths can give rights holders, visiting trucks and in-house teams more options without reopening walls for every format change. The value depends on connector panels, testing, documentation and route diversity as much as the cable itself.
The supplier confirms the product families and completed overhaul. It does not publish strand counts, endpoint locations, optical budgets, supported production formats, redundancy, certification measurements or the proportion of legacy coax retained. Independent acceptance results are not available.
